In the first round of talks, representatives of government ministries and state offices proposed cost reductions in the total amount of HRK 2.08 billion (EUR 280 million), which would cut budget expenses by 1.64 per cent, Finance Minister Ivan Suker said at a press conference on Friday.
Suker said a revised budget proposal would be presented before the government within the next two or three weeks and that it would be based on a projected economic decline of two per cent this year.
