Investment Outlook Session highlights Croatia´s Progress and Opportunities

As part of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Annual Meeting and the accompanying Business Forum, an Investment Outlook Session (IOS) titled "Croatia’s Success Story: From Transition to Resilience" was held in London today, spotlighting the country's investment potential.

The session opened with a keynote presentation by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Marko Primorac, who outlined Croatia’s journey from independence to its current economic resilience. He also discussed the Government’s ongoing reform agenda aimed at enhancing the country’s investment climate.
 
Following the presentation, Minister Primorac joined a panel discussion moderated by Miljan Ždrale, EBRD Regional Director for Central Europe and Director of the EBRD Office in Croatia. The panel also included Stjepan Orešković, founder and majority shareholder of BOSQAR d.d., and Robert Knorr, Managing Partner at the investment firm MidEuropa.
 
Key discussion topics included Croatia’s investment environment, the development and regional integration of capital markets within the EU, and the reform of public enterprises. Minister Primorac stressed the importance of a robust capital market to improve capital allocation, enhance liquidity, diversify risk, and attract long-term investors.
Regarding the reform of public enterprises in Croatia, Minister Primorac highlighted the Government's achievements in modernizing the management of public enterprises in order to achieve public and commercial goals.
