Minister Šuker at the IMF and the World Bank Meeting

The Croatian delegation comprised of the representatives of the Ministry of Finance and of the Croatian National Bank will participate in the Annual Meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Istanbul on October 6-7, 2009. The Ministry of Finance delegation is led by Mr. Ivan Šuker, Minister of Finance, and the Croatian National Bank delegation by Mr. Boris Vujčić, Deputy Governor of the Croatian National Bank.

In Istanbul, Minister Šuker will meet with Mr. Philippe Le Houerou, World Bank Vice-President for Europe and Central Asia, and with Mr. Rudolf Jan Treffers, World Bank Executive Director. Minister Šuker and the World Bank representatives will discuss further cooperation and activities of already initiated reforms in judiciary, health service, education, projects in the field of environment protection, adjustments to climatic change and energy.
The Croatian delegation will meet with Mr. Age F. P. Bakker , Executive Director of the IMF and with Mr. Marek Belk, IMF Europe Office Director, to talk about the macroeconomic situation in Croatia as well as about medium-term perspective, bearing in mind possible influences of the global financial crisis.

Minister Šuker will also meet with the representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and of the Council of Europe Development Bank and he will hold a number of bilateral meetings with business bankers. Minister Šuker is accompanied by the State Secretary, Mr. Zdravko Marić and Directors, Ms. Vladimira Ivandić and Mr. Hrvoje Radovanić, while Mr. Vujčić, Deputy Governor of the Croatian National Bank, is accompanied by Vice-governors, Mr. Relja Martić and Mr. Adolf Matejka as well as by Mr. Michael Faulend, Executive Director.
